Croydon Counselling Foundation offers training placements to suitable students who have started (or are about to start) the second year of an approved psychodynamic training course.
Counselling students from integrative courses who have a particular interest in working psychodynamically will also be considered.
In addition, we offer supervised counselling placements for experience and Continuous Professional Development (CPD) to qualified counsellors, enabling them to work towards accreditation with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
Counselling professional development workshops
We offer training workshops, for counsellors, psychotherapists, trainees and students in both fields. Workshops cover theory and clinical practice relevant to psychodynamic work.
We also occasionally run in-house training for our experienced counsellors in Client Assessment and Time-limited counselling.
All counsellors are required to attend counsellors’ meetings, which take place four times a year and offer the opportunity to be part of the Croydon Counselling Foundation community. There are also two counsellor representatives, who ensure that the counsellors have a central role in the running of the charity.
How to apply for a counselling placement
We recruit on a rolling basis.
